The auction arm of New Leaf Senior Transitions
It's so much more than moving
For over a decade, New Leaf Senior Transitions has helped older adults across Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado counties downsize, move, and resettle. New Leaf Bids is what we built for everything the next home has no room for.
Why an auction
Every move ends with the same question
A household of thirty, forty, fifty years does not fit into an apartment. Some of what is left is worth real money, some is worth something to the right person, and almost none of it should end up in a dumpster. Sorting that out under a moving deadline is the hardest part of the whole transition.
Value, not disposal
An open auction finds the real price of a piece. A dealer's walkthrough offer and a donation receipt do not, and a family only finds that out afterward.
One team, one timeline
The people cataloguing the sale are the people running the move. Nothing waits on a second company's schedule, and the house is clear when it needs to be clear.
Nothing goes quietly
Every lot is photographed, described, and sold in public view, with the results visible to the family afterward. No back-room pricing.
What doesn't sell still lands well
Charitable donation, keepsake preservation, and haul-away are part of the same plan — the practice has done it on every move for years.
Expert assistance for older adults in transition. It’s so much more than moving.

How we work
Caring, professional, affordable
The three words the practice has been judged on since 2013. The auction is held to them too.
Caring
We are usually in a home at a hard moment. Sellers set the pace, keepsakes come out before anything is catalogued, and nobody is rushed into selling something they will regret.
Professional
Move planning, sorting, packing, floor planning, resettling — the practice does this every week, for families and for the placement and estate professionals who refer them.
Affordable
As much help as you need and no more. The auction offsets the cost of the move itself, which is the whole point of running one.
Whole-house scope
Furniture, art, rugs, china, jewelry, tools, garage and shop contents, collections built over decades. If it is in the house, we have sold one before.
Local, and not only local
Lots come from homes across Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado counties. Bidding is online and open to anyone, so a regional estate reaches a national room.
A second life
Reuse is the quiet part of this work. Things people cared for go to people who want them, rather than to a landfill.
